Alan Shaxon
President
One of England's Leading magicians, Alan Shaxon has appeared
in cabaret all over the world, at the top hotels from Sydney
to Las Vegas, on the finest luxury liners, and on international
television. He enjoys a reputation as a classy and adaptable
performer of great experience, and is seen by all the top people
in all the best places.
Recently elected the President of The Magic Circle, he was awarded
their premier award of "The Maskelyne". A Past President
of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, he received "The
David Berglas Award" from the British Magical Society and
a "Performing Fellowship" from The Magic Castle in
Hollywood. Alan is also one of only five British magicians ever
to be elected to the "Hall of Fame" by the Society
of American Magicians.
Alan is proud to be the President of The Young Magicians Club,
which produces the leading magicians of the future and provides
the opportunity for young enthusiasts to meet and mix with those
sharing a passion for magic. For very many it can open the doorway
to later becoming a member of The Magic Circle itself, the world's
most prestigious magic society. |

Ali Bongo
Vice President
Ali Bongo needs no introduction! He was associated with all the great TV magicians over the years from David Nixon to Paul Daniels, even the current crop turn to Ali Bongo as an advisor - Barry and Stuart, Derren Brown to name a few.
Ali is an all round performer too and his silent act has taken him all around the world. He can always be found attending YMC workshops where he is on hand to advise the magicians of the future. |

Mandy Davis
Chairman,
'Secrets' Editor
Mandy
Davis is the face of the organisation and administration
of the YMC workshops. Her background as a non-uniformed
leader with 5th Stanmore Cub & Scout group for over
ten years gives her the experience to encourage young
magicians from complete beginners to those about to leave
YMC and embark on gaining membership of The Magic Circle.
Mandy is also the editor of 'Secrets' magazine
which is held to be the finest youth magic magazine
in the world. It was the late Peter McCahon who brought
it to its current glossy and colourful format and it
will continue to be his legacy to YMC - with Mandy
ensuring the high quality of the content whilst also
writing extensively for the magic press both here in
the UK and overseas.
Professionally Mandy has been performing close-up magic since early 1996. She
was only the 26th woman in the world to be admitted as a full member of The
Magic Circle and is one of very few female magicians to pass her examination
for entry at the first attempt. She worked as resident magician for a well-known
chain of restaurants for some considerable time.
Currently
Mandy is kept busy performing for corporate functions and
banquets, private parties and celebrations of all types.
She can often be seen on BBC
CBeebies in a special magic-based episode of The Shiny
Show. |

Jack Delvin
Honorary Vice President / Advertisment Manager - 'SECRETS'
Jack Delvin has performed magic at the highest possible level for many years. He has performed clsoe up and/or cabaret in virtually every top class hotel in London and has worked for dozens of top companies such as BT, BBC, BA, Ford, BMW. Jack is also a renowned children's performer and an excellent magic mentor.

Clive Hyams
Secretary'
Clive Hyams has been a professional magician for over 26 years. He specialises in children's shows but also does his fair share of Close Up magic for private and corporate clients. He has won the Surrey Society's Close Up Competition no less than five times. Clive joined The Magic Circle in 1983 - became M.M.C in 1984 and A.I.M.C. in 1987. Clive ran the showcase sales for The Magic Circle for five and a half years and had been looking for another job that he can fit around his busy professional life.
Clive, our new Secretary, is a family man living in Surrey with his wife Deborah, who he has been married to for almost 27 yrs, and two grown up daughters: Zoë aged 21, who is the manager of a sales office of a national company but is looking to join the Met police later this year, and Bobbie, 18 years, who has just finished 'A' levels and is hoping to go to Huddersfield University this year.

Kevin Doig
Education Officer
Kevin has been performing magic since 1971 and is a member
of the Stage Crew of The Magic Circle. First and foremost he
is an actor and director and directs stage shows from thrillers
to comedies. He teaches most aspects of stagecraft both on
stage drama and backstage skills.
As a schoolteacher, he is
very interested in the development of skills in young people
so is an obvious choice to be the Education Officer of the
Young Magicians Club. He has a particular interest in Mathematical
Magic and he is the Chairman of the Bexleyheath Society of
Magicians. |

Mark Herrick
Webmaster
Mark is a professional magician touring the UK with his wife Cheryl, he first got bitten by the magic bug at the age of 6 when his Mum showed him a simple card trick. In his younger days Mark performed the Bullet Catch and the Houdini Milk Churn and practised the famous Buried Alive stunt. Mark is very proud to be an Associate of The Inner Magic Circle with Silver Star

Steve Dela
Steve is an ex-member of YMC, an award-winning close up performer and former Young Magician of the Year. He is an asset to workshops, making his extensive knowledge of card and other close up magic sleights available to YMC members.

Belinda Stewart
Workshop Liaison Team
Belinda is another ex-member of YMC who is a workshop aide, responsible for the integration of new members and ensuring that they make friends and settle in well with the other regular attendees. |
